THE COMPANIES

Phoenix Electronic Systems, owned by Alessandro Di Venanzio, celebrates its 38th anniversary, making it one of the longest-running companies in the Rieti and Cittaducale industrial district. The former president of Unindustria Rieti celebrated this milestone with his employees on Via Malfatti.

THE ROUTE

A story of entrepreneurial success that began in 1987, when Di Venanzio decided to enter the professional electronics and industrial cabling sector. Thirty-eight years later, the company employs more than eighty specialized workers. Di Venanzio began his adventure in a small apartment in Cittaducale, with just a few employees. The turning point came when he encountered multinationals operating in the area, such as Texas and Elektra. This collaboration allowed him to acquire extraordinary expertise and consolidate his presence in the Rieti business landscape, becoming a partner for multinationals operating in the Czech Republic, Austria, Belgium, and the United Kingdom. The company has survived difficult times in the local and national economies unscathed.

THE OBSERVATIONS

“The company, along with the entire group,” explains Di Venanzio, “is facing the tariffs with a certain serenity and with the desire to overcome this phase as well. The group also hopes that our region will be included in the Special Economic Zone.” Since 2023, Phoenix has been part of the Patelec group, with plants in Italy, Poland, and China, and distributes its products worldwide. The holding company is an international player with extensive technological expertise in the production of electrical cords and power cables. This industrial partnership has led the Rieti-based company to expand its site with the acquisition of a new warehouse and the expansion of its machinery. “We have plans,” says Di Venanzio, “to further develop the Rieti site. We are currently investing in young people to use sophisticated software and artificial intelligence. We need fresh resources to better address the challenges that await us in the near future.”
